Why do I need a custom Download Agent (DA)?
As Mediatek's chip security has evolved, we have seen an increased complexity in flashing firmware (like -sign.img & Secure Boot). Its no more (always) as easy as just loading a scatter file and flashing using SP flash tool. DAs are strategic following the increase in the need for boxes and dongles to perform tasks; even in the use of SP Flash Tool to bypass Factory Reset Protection (FRP).
A Download Agent (DA) enables your favorite Mediatek Flash Tool to read and write to the device. In a case where the default DA can't, you'll encounter constant errors or the phone just powering up when you connect (this dates as far back as the Tecno M3S & P5S). This is where a custom DA file comes in. Depending on the tool you're using, you manually load the custom DA ( MTK_AllInOne_DA_SP.bin or DA_SWSEC.bin ) .

This device is designed from a polycarbonate plastic material.
It feature a polished design on the rear cover, curved edges with gold lining across the sides which extends to the top & bottom rear as well as around the rear camera and Tecno logo below the rear camera. right side of the camon x pro
Features a rear set up similar to what we saw on the Tecno phantom 8 last year.
Behind the device are the rear camera and dual led flash at the top-left corner. camon x pro bottom
Also at the rear, we have the fingerprint scanner with Tecno imprint just below it. And Camon imprint at the middle down.
Top of the device is clear and smooth while the bottom house the 3.5mm audio jack, speaker grill, microphone and micro USB port. camon x pro sim and sd card tray
Above the display are the notification led light, selfie camera, flash light and the earpiece in between them.
The capacitive buttons as seen at the bottom of the display of their predecessors has been replaced with on-screen buttons.
Volume rocker, power button and the sim card tray (which also house the sd card) slots are placed at the right side of the device.
